Kelsey of Sutton Montis, Cambridgeshire Cherry Hinton
Please can anyone help me? I am searching for a family in Cherry Hinton in the 17th Century. I am told that the Parish Records show that a baby girl ALICE was baptised on 27 September 1635, the daughter of STEPHEN and ALICE KELSEY. She married John Upton of Wilmslow in Cheshire and had a family of formidably clever children. Family legend has it that she was a 'considerable' heiress (in the family archives I have a number of ladies so described, but mysteriously in every case the money seems to have vanished with them!) Is there a local history group in the area who may be able to help. Any information will be truly appreciated
red mail Hitch family Pampisford
I have reason to believe John Hitch, yeoman of Melbourn, had connections in Pampisford - previous to 1660. I would appreciate it if anyone can share with me any information at all re the Hitch family in Pampisford. I suspect John Hitch leased farm land there. His wife's name was Mary, her family name is unknown. I don't have his date of birth nor his date of marriage. I do have the names and dates of baptism of his children - William 1638; Bridgett 1641; Sarah 1643; Mary 1643; Thomas 1645; Richard 1649; and Ann 1650.

red mail Norden/Norton possibly at Linton Linton
I have family details for Maria Norton (Norden), from Burwell, on 1871 census aged 15 she was working as servant in Cambridgeshire, believed possibly Linton, for Anne and William Willis.
red mail Wheston in Pampisford & Sawston Pampisford
John & Elisabeth WHESTON both born 1796, had 3 sons - John m Priscilla ?, Joseph m Maria LOFTS, and Thomas b1835 (dates from 1841 census). There were earlier WHESTONs in Pampisford and later the family also spread to nearby Sawston. On the 1881 census there is Thomas b1836 wife Ellenor (LINSDELL/BLANKS - another story), son Thomas b1871 in Sawston. I am probably descended from this Thomas. However to confuse matters there are other Thomas WHESTONs in the area. e.g from the 1871 census - Thomas b1870 ,son of Thomas b1846 and Emma (WIFFEN?) b1835. Each birthplace is given as just Cambridgeshire so not so likely. Does anyone else have an interest in this family? Help please.
red mail Page / Rutt of Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire Fulbourn
Elizabeth Rutt 1775-1857 married Thomas Page 1775 in 1798 October 14th in Fulbourn, I have a copy of the Parish marriage entry. Their son Thomas Page 1805 is my fourth great grandfather, other siblings were Robert Page 1798, John Page 1802, Esther Page 1811, Mary Page , Christopher 1814 and Hannah 1816. I would love to hear from a Rutt or Page family researcher.
red mail Strand / Page Family of Fulbourn Fulbourn
Mary Strand 1808- 1860 is my fourth great grandmother, she married Thomas Page 1827 in Fulbourn, I have a copy of the Parish marriage entry. Their daughter Elizabeth Page 1831 married James Samuel Flack. I have found that the parents of Mary Strand were William Strand 1776 and Elizabeth Dawson 1792. I find there are few families called Strand in the Cambridge area. Does anyone have the Strand family in their tree.
