red mail Prospect Hotel, 29 Zion Place, Cliftonville, Kent
Hi, does anyone remember the owners of the Prospect Hotel in Cliftonville, Margate before it was demolished? I believe they would have been a Mr. Thomas SWALLOW and his wife Frances BAILEY. The hotel was apparently demolished in the 1960s when the area was renovated, but I'd be interested in tracing any surviving relatives of the owners (back in the 1940s-50s) as I have a letter from an 'Auntie Frances' to my grandmother inviting her to stay at the hotel, and I am curious to know what kind of relation she was to her. Thank you.
red mail Looking for the family of Alexandra Joan Roberts
I am looking for any details of Alexandra Joan Roberts who possibly remarried in 1979 to Peter Saunders, and any details of her immediate family. I know in the 60s and 70s she lived at 289 Canterbury Road Margate CT9 5JA. Any help would solve a mystery about the land-rover she bought in 1958 and kept until 1978. Jay

Henry and Susanna were married in Margate in 1787. I know nothing about Isabel Brett or Susanna Le Brush, and would like to make contact with anyone who has them in their tree. Susan
Emptage of Margate and Walk of Ramsgate
My great grandfather was Henry Thomas Emptage of Margate. He married Martha Walk of Ramsgate in Thanet in 1880. They had several children before separating. It is possible that his brother, William John Emptage was the father of one of those children, Avis Mary. Henry Thomas set up home in London with Malberry Jane Wilson of Petham, Bridge. She took his name and they had five children. I'd like to contact any one who can throw light on this tangled web. Susan
