Any information on the Hawleys who were blacksmith in Sherburn . John Hawley who was married to a Mary Cooper both born 1770 , William Hawley who was also a blacksmith there born 1806 and is shown as a blacksmith married to a Margaret Wilson . Any guidance to additional records or history of blacksmiths in Sherburn would be much appreciated

Hi I am looking to trace a particular line of my family's history and that is my Copley Ancestors, The most recent Copley on my tree is my 3 x Great Grandmother Elizabeth Copley who was born in Sherburn in Elmet in 1835 and married my 3 x Great Grandfather Thomas Sayner 27th March 1864 in Sherburn, they had several children and Elizabeth passed away 25th September 1910, I know her father was called Joseph and her mother was Ann Maskell, but I would like to know more further back through the Copley line or any information on the Maskell line also. Please help if you can Kind Regards

Am looking for records of family of George Baker and Ann Keyworth (m 1784 in Nottingham) .They had 7 children all born in Sherburn (I have baptismal references) I have plenty about son William Keyworth b 1787 who became a doctor, and suspect brother Thomas b 1789 is my ggggfather, who became a chemist, altough I cannot trace his m/c, but other children are: Elizabeth Baker b 1792; George b 1793; Mary b 1790; Henry b 1797 and Ann b 1795.
