Desperately trying to find death of his wife Bertha Looking for any information / relatives of : John Charles Henry Smith known as Jack, born c1892 possibly Portsmouth and moved to Kingston-upon-Thames with family as a child. Alternative POB Haer, Wiltshire, England. Confirmed: Married twice, no information re 1st marriage other than they had a son, name unknown, who was at Jack's 2nd marriage. 2nd marriage to Bertha Bullen nee Edwards on Saturday 27th November 1954, St Agatha's Church, Kingston-upon-Thames. Jack and Bertha lived at 79 Boulton Road, Southsea, Hants. Jack died 11 February 1963 in St James Hospital Milton Portsmouth.

William Dobbs (1827-1828) and his wife Ann Titheridge (1827-1894) lived in Southsea and Portsea with their children William Dobbs (b1848), John Dobbs (b1850), George Dobbs (b1851), Rosina Dobbs (b1853), Henry Dobbs (b1857) and Annie Dobbs (b1858). Rosina married Edward Hazel (b1851) from Portsea in 1871, whose father was Thomas William Hazel (b1841) and Celia Matthews (b1853). Other Hazels in Southsea include Alice Dora Hazel (b1889), Celia Hazel (b1881), Emily Louise Hazel (b1884), and Elizabeth Jane Hazel (b1877). Would like to exchange information. Thanks, Neal

I am researching the William Richard and Sarah ( nee Hancock) Harris family of 46 Bath Road Southsea. William was the son of John and Mary Ann ( nee Sercombe) Harris and was born at Dawlish in 1845. He was for many years a Prudential Assurance Agent and had previously lived at Portsmouth. Two of his sons, Ernest and William were also Prudential Insurance Agents. Any information appreciated.
