Dows of Taynuilt
Am trying to prove if my Dow ancestors came from Taynuilt. John, born c.1820, came to England around 1840 where he married Ann Wood in 1842. His father was also John. |
Malcolm Campbell
Does anyone have a Malcolm Campbell who marries a Margaret Campbell in Fortingall 1/3/1865. They live at Inverliver near Taynuilt from their marriage until Malcolm dies 17/7/1918. They have a son John, twins Peter and Donald and David (who becomes a medical practioner) then a daughter Jeanie. If you know of this family please get in touch. |
McLaren
I am looking for the burial site of an infant son, John McLaren, son of John and Elizabeth McLaren. The time line would be around 1900 as John and Elizabeth worked in a store on the main street of Taynuilt. |
Henry Tyson of Muckairn
Henry Tyson was married in the parish of Muckairn(modern Taynuilt)in 1786. His wife was a MacCalman - Mary in the 1786 marriage document. However, when Henry's first son was born in 1790, the mother was Isabella MacCalman. Sons were John(x2) Henry(1798) and Duncan. There was also a daughter Mary. |
