Adams-Windmillers in Suffolk
Tracing the Adams family millers back in time from Ramsgate & Birchington in Kent where Samuel Adams (1827-1927)milled, to Orsett & Horndon in Essex whereSam's father James (born 1813 in Walsham Le Willows Suffolk) & grandfather, another James (born 1786 in Hemingstone Suffolk) milled; I've yet to establish where they milled in Suffolk. It's more than likely that James senior's father (I think another Samuel) was also a miller. If anyone has any information,or can point me in the right direction,I would be most grateful. I've become so interested in windmilling I just have to find out! Thanks.

Sharmans in Walsham Le Willows
Researching ancestors in Walsham area (Hartismere, etc). My 2G father was George Wesley Weavers SHARMAN (1853 - 1914)and his father was Philip SHARMAN (1823 - 1908)who sometimes used the alias WEAVERS as was known he was found guilty of Housebreaking at Bury Assizes. His father was a James SHARMAN who I have no info on as yet. George was married to a Annie Maria DAVEY and Philip married a Lucy WILBY. He died in the Pulham Market workhouse. Any info very gratefully received & I am willing to share anything I have. Would really like to know when, where and why the Sharman's started to use Weavers as they can often be found on the censuses under this alias.

Woods of Walsham le Willows
Looking for info on John Woods born abt 1836 to John and Martha Woods (nee Pollard). Also his sister Mary Woods born abt 1834. John senior remarried after Martha died in 1837 to Mary Chambers. Have gone back to 1749 to Richard Woods with this family, but seems to be some grey area with young John & his sister Mary. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
