red mail Laidlaw - Lead Miners late 1700's
I am looking for information on the Laidlaw/Laidlay family, many of the men worked as Lead Miners. I think this was a common name in the area. The names I have are twins William and Ninian born 04/07/1799 and brother John born 03/01/1880. I am also looking for information on Isabella Laidlaw born 1786. Any parish records gratefully referred to please.. Thanks.

Charles Stewart was born to James Stewart (b. 1732) and Jean Mathieson on 20/2/1766 in Wanlockhead, which comes up under Sanquhar on most searches. Does anyone have any info on him, he does not appear to stay on in Wanlockhead so where did he go and who did he marry? can you help?
