red mail Father of George GREIG, b. 1879-08-16 Ellon
George GREIG was born illegitimate to Catharine Duncan GREIG at Backhill of Cookston, Ellon. George was later adopted by Richard MILNE (engine driver) when he married Catherine (domestic servant, spinster) in 1882. Recent DNA shows George's grandson to be a genetic distance of 4 from two McIntyres, one of which lives in Australia. Trying to locate the names of any male McIntyres, above the age of 16, that might have been living in and around Aberdeen between 1877 and 1880.

red mail William Coutts, farmer 1880's/1890's Ellon
Andrew Coutts was born in Ellon to Jessie Buchan with whom he lived as Andrew Buchan until the age of 4 or 5. His father was said to be William Coutts, a farm labourer or crofter. Andrew lived with William and his family briefly, but by the 1891 census he was boarding with Alexander Reid in Fyvie as Andrew Coutts. William probably moved around. Does anyone have this William on their tree? How do I find the principle landowners of the time to see rent rolls? Any suggestions please??
