I'm looking for more information about Dorcas Martin who was born around 1867 in Easton near Winchester to John and Jane Martin. I have found several records of her being married to Andrew Carr - possibly in 1892 but I have also seen a record of a baptism in Winchester of Ethel Mary Carr in 1891 whose parents were David (or possibly Daniel) Carr and Dorcas Martin. Any clues or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

red mail Emily Beverley, Henrietta Poole Hepburn Beverley, Henry Poole Hepburn
I am looking for Emily BEVERLEY, claiming to have been born in Winchester c. 1816. I can only pick her up on the census from 1851, when she lives in Chelsea, claiming to be a widow. She subsequently lives in Westminster and Pimlico. In 1851 she is an annuitant, however, later she seems to have kept a boarding house. Her daughter is Henrietta POOLE HEPBURN BEVERLEY. I cannot find any BMD records on Emily. I have the marriage of the daughter but not the birth. Henrietta, who marries Frank BODDY SIMONS, claims her father's name is Henry Poole Hepburn Beverley, deceased. There is no one with such a name, however, there is a Henry Poole Hepburn. He is a General, and from the Hooke in Chailey, Sussex. Other then the name there is no suggestion he is the father, although he is the only one other then Henrietta with the combination Poole Hepburn. Henrietta and Frank move to India where they live the rest of their lives. Emily disappears, and I am not sure whether she stays in England or follows them out. Any information on any of these people would be much appreciated! They are our 2x and 3x great grandparents and are proving to be an impenetrable brick wall! Many thanks, Elke
