Entries around
Owens of Worthen parish
I am searching for the parents of Jane Owen who was married in Worthen in 1773 (to Joseph Eakin) I found an entry for a Jane Owen baptised June 11th 1753 at Westbury to a Jane Owen ( no note for illegitimacy) and searching back to see if she was a widow found 2 curious entries. Thomas Owen married 29th May to a Jane Brown and then Thomas Owen buried 29th May 1753 . spouse Jane Brown. No parish was given with this entry so I do not know if there was any information in the parish records for this event but I'm assuming it might be within 10 miles of Worthen. Any help would be appreciated.

Brothers William and Arthur Dicken were prominent in Worthen parish c.1770-1840. William lived at Worthen Hall and Arthur later in Bromlow. They had a relative (nephew?) Thomas Dicken in Lydbury North who had two sisters in Myndtown close by. The family may have originated in Biddulph, Staffordshire.

red mail EWARDS GRAVELS HOPE WORTHEN
Hi I am looking for some help with the Edwards family from the 1841 census as follows: Katharine 35, Thomas 11, Margaret 7, Katharine 9 & David 3. I am related via David, I have traced him and his sister Margaret, but would like any info on the two Katharine's and Thomas and also the father who I think was also called Thomas and was a miner at the lead mine in Shelve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

red mail Vaughan Worthen
I am researching the family of Thomas Vaughan b. 1807 and Emmelia b. 1815. Thomas is listed as being born in Brockton, Worthen. They have the following children: Jane 1834, William 1839, Edward 1841, Richard 1844, Thomas 1847, Mary Emelia 1854. Thomas Evans Vaughan (my great-grandfather) left about 1871 for Boston Massachusetts and was a cabinet maker. Most of the other Vaughans were master tailors in Worthen. William Vaughan was the innkeeper of White Horse Hotel in Worthen. I would like to learn more about this family and have information in the US about them to share.
red mail Vaughan Worthen left for US in 1871
My great-grandfather, Thomas Evans Vaughan b. April 1847 was a wheelwright apprentice. There was a master wheelwright listed as the next family in Worthen census 1861, William Evans age 71 and Martha Evans age 56. I feel this family is related. The others in the family were master tailors and one brother was the inn keeper of White Horse Inn, Worthen.
red mail EVANS, RICHARD, LEFT FOR USA IN 1871
My great, great grandfather Richard Evans, born around 1846 near Worthen, emigrated to the United States in 1871. Looking for any information regarding his family and ancestors.
