There is a record of him volunteering for the Shropshire Light Infantry 22/5/1915 but was found not to be likely to become an effiecient soldier and was discharged on 31/5/1915. Army number 18063, I have seen another entry for a Thomas Hatfield in the Shropshire Light Infantry army number 17934 enlisting in 1917. Would he be able to re enlist? Is it the same Thomas Hatfield? Seeking information on Samuel Everall born 1771. In 1841 he lived in Longnor with his wife Mary, daughter Ann and grandaughter also Ann. On the marriage cert for his son Charles, Samuels occupation is recorded as schoolmaster. This is also recorded in the 1841 census. There are 2 deaths for a Samuel Everall one in Church Streton 1848 and another in 1850. Samuel could have been married to Mary Brown. Many people are looking at the Everall tree but I am not sure until I find Samuels death and records him as a schoolmaster if I am looking on the correct branch.
