Looking for information about these two families. Rebecca Caddy from Galway, married a James Leslie from Saffron Walden, sometime around 1800. Some say this marriage took place in Galway, but i have been unable to find records to support this. Rebecca would have been born around 1779. I would appreciate any info anybody can give about these two families. Thanx in advance.......Howard.

red mail Patrick Shaughnessy
Is there anyone who would be willing to do some on site research I am in Canada and am not likley to be visiting Galway anytime soon. I have a marriage certificate for Patrick that shows his father as Michael Shaughnessy, I also have a baptism record for a Patrick Shaughnessy with father Michael, mother Mary Blakeny, baptised 15 January 1846, Dunmore, Co Galway, it was the only baptism record for a Patrick with father Michael, is it possible to figure out if this is the right person, (see my previous posts) and what other family members there might have been. If this is totally confusing and you are willing to help please contact me.
red mail Dillon, Michael 1840's
I am trying to find information about Michael Dillon who was born in Galway sometime in the 1840's. I have not been able to find his parents names but believe that either his father or a brother may have been named Patrick. The surname Egan has also been mentioned, possible his or his wife's mothers maiden name. He immigrated to the United States in the 1860's and married Margaret Hart. If you can connect with Dillon'sfrom Galway I would appreciate any information.
red mail Jeannie Alston HARE
Looking for the parents of Jeannie Alston HARE, b. 1889, possibly in Scotland. She married Albert Hector SIMMONS, b. 1886, Galway, on 02/04/1914 in Athlone. Her father was an X-ray expert at Galway hospital. They had 3 children, Robert Walter b. 1917, Sheena and Maurine.
red mail FINNERTY and KELLY
Looking to find information on great, great grandparents Redmond Finnerty and Rose Kelly born about 1856. Children include MaryAnne, John, Margaret, Rose, Redmond, Catherine and Ellie.
John & Ellen (Con)Cannon
John Concannon (b.appx 1805) & Ellen Shiel (b.appx 1818) married in Co Galway around 1835. (I believe they were Church of Ireland, or perhaps Methodists) They had 3 children John (1838) Patrick (1841) and Bridget (1843) while still in Ireland, but then the next record I have for them is in 1848 in Walsall Foreign, West Midlands UK, where they registered the birth of their 4th child Mary. Shortly after, on the 1851 census they have John's brother Thomas (b.1820) living with them in Walsall. Based on other surnames connected to this family (Shiel, Tiernan, Finan, McCormack) the most likely place of origin for them is in the NE corner of Galway, in parishes along the Roscommon border - Kiltullagh, Kilcroan or Kilbegnet. Would love to hear from anyone else following this family line.
