Looking for relatives of Thomas Peters and Mary Ann Tandy (both born around 1840;married around 1860). He followed his father (also Thomas) into the hatting trade and later moved to Bristol. Their son William Thomas Peters mentioned in 1861 census, may have emigrated to Australia as a boy.

Any info on George Brain, son of Aaron Brain. He was a coal miner, as was his Father and his sons. What coal mine would he have worked? Bitton - Oldland is on his B.Cert and Hanham Lane appears on the 1881 Census. Any Brain Family members left in the area? Please contact.

Am trying to find true records of John Lear b1776 who married Jane Ward c1777, they raised family in Bitton but we have nothing before on them, one maybe is John Lear 1776 of Totnes/Torquay, did he live his life out in the place he was born or move to Bitton with or for work.

Am seeking further information on the LEAR family from Bitton. John LEAR father of several Tasmanian convicts married a Jane ???? (perhaps WARD)who came to Australia as Jane BAKER with her son Isaac BAKER/LEAR. Other sons include Stephen (executed Tasmania) and William who started a dynasty of LEARs in Australia.

Emma Sophia ROSE was born in Bitton about 1836, and married Henry GARDNER at the Holy Trinity Church, Bristol, in 1857. In 1881 this couple and their family were at Creech St Michael, Somerset, where Henry worked as manager at the paper mill. Any links to these two families would be appreciated,

I have links to Henry GARDNER, born Bitton, 1837. He had siblings George, Ruth, Alice, Joseph, Mary and Thomas. The parents of Henry and his siblings were George GARDNER and Mary MORGAN who were married at Bitton on 3.11.1821. Does anyone know ofany of these GARDNER siblings, or know which parish in Gloucester George GARDNER and Mary MORGAN may have come from. Any help would be most appreciated.
