Monilaws and Barrington  Feb 2012 (195037)
George Monilaws married Elizabeth Barrington at Portsea,Potsmouth in 1802.he was on HMS Apollo. One story describes him as a carpenter, another as captain! Elizabeth is said to have been daughter of Admiral Barrington but there is no trace of him having a daughter. We have no birth record for either but George is likely to have been born in. Scotland around 1781 Both he and Eliz were dead by 1813 and left a young George who was brought up by a relative in Scotland. Anybody able to fill in any gaps. especially George's birth details? WHO was Eliz?
Swift  Revised 20Jan 2006 (37221)
Elizabeth Priscilla Swift, daughter of George Swift and Ellen Kelly, was born in Chewton, Victoria, Australia in 1872. She married Joseph Edward Prime at Faraday, Victoria in 1893. They had 3 children, Joseph Harold, Arthur George and Harry. Elizabeth died in 1899 at Castelmaine, Victoria. Looking for her parents, George Swift and Ellen Kelly. Any help greatly appreciated. Have found a headstone in the Castelmaine cemetery for George & Ellen - when did they go to Australia?
