Elgy/Robson
I appreciate that both of these names occur frequently in the Durham area, but I am looking for information regarding Charles Elgy, born appx 1846 in Evenwood Gate, Durham who married a Jane Robson J/F/M 1873 in Auckland...only other info is that from the various census, she would be born appx 1855. They went on to have seven children born in Crook, Waterhouses and Brandon. There are so many Jane Robsons that I have come to a halt until I can locate the correct one. Hoping someone out there can help. Thanks

red mail Proud / Salkeld / Thompson / Hart / Wearmouth
Would love to get in touch with Descendants of = My (3x) Great Grandfather was John Thompson (b ard 1810) married to Hannah Proud (b. 10/11/1821). His son John Proud Thompson (Baptised 6/6/1834) married Ann (Hannah) Salkeld on 28/10/1850. His son George Salkield Thompson married Frances Hannah Wearmouth on 21/8/1873 - this union produced my Grand Father David Wearmouth Thompson. He was one of 11 Children. If these names appear on your tree please get in touch. I live in Australia, was born in Sunderland, UK and have just started researching the tree again after spending a lot of "manual" hours on it from 1994-1996. With best regards.

red mail Bell/Newton
My husband's great grandparents were Thomas Bell and Hannah Newton from Bishop Auckland in the late 1800's early 1900's. They had a son Thomas born in the early 1898, another Edward (Ted) who emigrated to Australia first followed by Thomas, and two daughters (Dora and Jennifer) who stayed in England. I believe they lived at Douglas Cres, Bishop Auckland. This is all the information I have concerning Thomas Sr and his wife. If anyone can help me I would be glad to hear. Nola
